Glimpse Into Studio: New Work at IAIA Artist-in-Residence

New paintings by Ka'ila Farrell-Smith created during her month long Artist-In-Residence at Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) in Santa Fe, NM April 2017.

First four paintings are large (96" x 48") acrylic and oil paintings on reclaimed IAIA exhibition banners on plastic tarps, parts of the original banner images are incorporated as reference within the paintings. The last four are small (24" x 18") charcoal, acrylic, oil paintings on clay board and hard board panels. These two series are untitled at present and are installed at IAIA while the paints dry. They will be shipped back to Portland, Oregon this summer. Please contact the artist via the contact page on the website to inquire about seeing the originals.
